2008Quick Facts

Contract Conditions: Review contract conditions, paying special attention to booth breakdown and setup conditions, as well as important deadlines.

Exhibit Space Application: Complete in detail and return a copy before Jan. 31, 2008, to be part of the first phase of booth assignments for which a point system is used, based on the number of years an exhibitor has been participating at this event and the amount of booth space requested in 2008. Only a
fully completed, signed contract, with a minimum 50 percent deposit, will enable a space request to be evaluated. Refer to the floor plan of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center (enclosed) in making your booth space request.

Exhibitor Preparation: Exhibitors will be allowed on the exhibit floor only one hour prior to the opening of the exhibit on Friday to stock and clean booths.

Exhibitor Breakdown: At 3 p.m. on Friday, May 2, exhibitors may begin their breakdown. Companies who violate the breakdown policy (tearing down any portion of an exhibit prior to the closing of the exhibit hall) will receive a "first offense" warning letter. If companies violate the policy a subsequent year, then a $1,000 fine will be imposed.

Exhibitor Samples: Only official convention sample bags, issued to attendees at the exhibit entrance, may be carried into or out of the exhibit. No other bags or carryalls will be allowed. All exhibitor samples must fit within the confines of the official convention sample bag (13” x 18”). Portions for exhibit sampling should be no more than 2 ounces for food items, 4 ounces for beverages. Exhibitors with product samples larger than the official sample bag should contact Convention Management for
guidelines. Attendees are limited to one bag per visit to the exhibit hall.

Exhibitor Awards: “The Keys to Success” will be stressed in all aspects of the convention and exhibit. Trophies and ribbons will be presented to companies whose booths have been judged to be outstanding.
Exhibitor Manual: After dues, deposit and contract are received, a complete exhibitor’s manual will be sent to the person signing the contract, unless otherwise designated. Registration and decor order forms will be included in the manual or on the Web site (www.atlanticcoastexpo.com).

Product Display/Sampling: The official ACE Contract Conditions prohibit the display of products of non-member manufacturers, except by permission of the Management. Non-member manufacturers’ products may be sampled and sold, however, banners, logos, specially marked clothing, point-of-purchase materials, etc., of non-member manufacturers are expressly forbidden. Brokers and distributors will be required to submit a listing of the manufacturers they will represent within the confines of their display space.

Broker/Display Space: Broker companies may reserve up to 200 square feet of exhibit space and represent two manufacturers for each 100 square feet. Every effort will be made by Management to assign display space for a broker company adjacent, or in close proximity, to the manufacturers represented, with display size a non-factor. After Jan. 31, 2008, assignment of display space is on first-come, first-served basis and is contingent on availability.

Visit this Web site again in August for preliminary information on the event scheduled for the new show, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
